Recess Fitting
Select this choice when installing your blind within the window recess.
We will create your blind slightly smaller than the dimensions you provide. It is crucial that you refrain from making any deductions from your measurements yourself.
In most instances, the overall width of the blind will be reduced by 10mm compared to the measurements you provide. This ensures that the blind and fittings do not scrape against the wall and that the panels hang elegantly without dragging on the window sill.
In simple terms, a recessed window is one that is set back into the wall. Installing the blind within this space prevents it from protruding into the room, resulting in a neat finish.
We suggest only using this option if your recess is 90mm deep, as otherwise your blinds may protrude from your window recess.
We also recommend checking your window handles don't obstruct where your blind will hang when choosing recess fitting.
Exact Fitting
Choose this option when installing your blind outside the window area.
Your blind will be created precisely according to the dimensions you provide.
It may be the case that you do not have a recess, or that you require a blind that sits outside of the recessed area, thus ordering a blind with additional width and drop to overlap the recessed space. Alternatively, you may already have a perfectly sized blind installed at your window and would like us to create a new blind with the exact same dimensions for you.
Snug Tip -
Our experts suggest when ordering blackout blinds to fit a recess, choose exact fitting to ensure a snug fit and eliminate any light leak.
