Measuring your curtain width.
We always recommend measuring the whole width of the track or pole (excluding the decorative ends (finials)) when it is in place. It is important to measure the track or pole width and not the window. If this is not possible, or if the window has no track or pole to measure, then measure the width of the window and add a minimum of 15cm to each side of the window (this allows the curtains to rest when open). More space either side may be needed for heavier fabrics to rest.
Measuring the Track or Pole Width
If possible, measure the width of the track or the pole and not the window.
Poles:
Measure the width of the pole from either end and do not include the decorative ends the measurement.
Tracks:
measure the width of the entire track. If there is an overlap in the track then measure the width of the entire track and also measure the overlap. Then add these two measurements together for your overall width.
